I am Maria, co-creator of Fire Bird Art House & practitioner at Fire Bird Healing in South Burlington, Vermont. Fire Bird Healing is a space for clients to feel safe, process unresolved experiences, release blockages & receive an influx of Life Force Energy & healing. Each session is tailored to meet your specific needs & your body always leads the way.
My healing practice is dedicated to connection, integration, love & peace. Together we craft an experience that will help you go deeper within yourself & connect more with your inner healer. With our intention a doorway is opened for your guides to come near & for you to heal in the way that is most beneficial for your life & purpose. This prayerful focus sets a powerful & safe container for whatever you might need to feel, express or receive.
I offer several Hawaiian LomiLomi modalities – Shamanic Massage, Joint Rotations, Elemental Healing (Kahi Loa) & Breathwork. As well as CranioSacral Therapy (including intraoral), Therapeutic Dialogue (SER), Pre/PostNatal Massage & Womb support, Reiki, Chakra balancing with tuning fork, Crystal & Sound Healing. Together we gently move energy & open pathways that lead to more freedom in the body, mind & spirit.
I channel Life Force Energy into the areas your body asks for.
You can choose the offering you feel most called to & I can adapt to what you need that day. There are always crystals in the room & under the massage table to help with our work. I make my own Balsam Fir infused massage oil to aid in the healing. I also incorporate drumming, rattles, chimes & crystal singing bowls into every session. My office is a living altar, an art installation, a temple sanctuary. I would love to share healing with you in this dedicated sacred space.
I offer a sliding scale because I want to be accessible to those who seek healing. I also offer a special price for People of Color, Indigenous & Trans/GNC Folks because I want to support you amidst the oppressive systems of our world. I come from a long lineage of women healers who work with Earth’s elements, the ancestors, our hands & hearts – devoted to nurturing self-love, family & community. Growing up I studied & played the piano for 10 years & throughout high-school & college I dove into being a ceramic artist. After that I found my way into fiber art & jewelry making, where I still focus my creative energy. Through crocheting & weaving jewelry with crystals, I entered into the realms of healing & more of my gifts began to emerge. I have trained with many practitioners & teachers over the last 16 years, human & beyond human, & I am deeply grateful for the knowledge shared with me. As well as my continued remembering of what I carry in my bones through study, ceremony, initiation & practice. The healing sessions that I craft for my clients are immersive, sensory-rich, powerful journeys that are ceremonial & blend together all of my experience as an artist & space holder. Those earlier years playing the piano & sculpting with clay made my hands very strong, sensitive, intuitive & wise.
All people are intrinsically healing & have access to Source Energy. Sometimes we need others to be present with us & offer support as we journey through life’s challenges. I am here for you, this is my calling & my life. This is supported self-care, it can be a gift to yourself on your path of unfolding. My practice is trauma sensitive, queer friendly & heart centered.

Full body, invigorating Hawaiian massage with long flowing strokes that build heat & melt tension. Activate the Lymph System while gently aligning the spine & energy body. This ancient healing practice is heart centered, nurturing & clears stuck emotions. Like waves of the ocean flowing in & sifting out what is ready to go. CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki & Sound Healing included. Book a longer session to receive chest & belly massage, incorporate some join rotations, or Chakra balancing with tuning fork. CranioSacral Therapy Session: 60 min $ 120 / 90 min $180
Fascia connects everything in the body like a web, it is a crystalline matrix – our body’s innate intelligence. CranioSacral Therapy is a light touch technique that connects with the fascia to unwind knots & release restrictions. The bones of the skull are gently opened which increases the flow of Cerebrospinal fluid & overall structural alignment. This has a direct benefit to all organs & systems of the body. Reiki Energy Healing: 60 min $120 / 90 min $180
Reiki is an ancient Japanese practice of channeling Source energy – which is always beneficial, life-giving & gentle. The receiver lays fully clothed on the massage table & my hands will be on or hovering above the body. The session is soothing & relaxing for the entire body, mind & Spirit. Helps to release tension & stagnant energy, while drawing in harmony & peace. Soothing to the Nervous System & eases pain, releases blocked energy & helps with integration of the Spiritual awakening process. Sound healing & Chakra alignment with tuning fork included. A special crystal formation will be in place below the massage table.
Temple Style Joint Rotations & Massage: 90 min $200 / 120 min $280
This is a full body Hawaiian massage incorporating gentle, slow joint rotations to unwind the limbs & release tension / trauma. Great for clients who like deep tissue massage &/or who want to go further into their healing journey. Long flowing strokes that build heat & melt tension are woven in between all the joint rotations. This is transformative, ancient, Temple Style LomiLomi. CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki energy & sound healing included. For a complete session make sure to book 2 hours.
Prenatal / Postnatal Therapeutic Massage: 60 min $120 / 90 min $180
For pregnant mothers/people to relax & connect with their baby, or for pre-conception womb support. Also for those who have recently given birth, released a pregnancy, or had a miscarriage, to gently support the womb. Rhythmic like the ocean, Hawaiian Lomi massage soothes the body, mind & Spirit. This is a loving, peaceful experience to help center & ground the receiver. CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki & sound healing included. A special crystal formation will be in place below the massage table.
Distance Reiki Healing: 45 min $95 / 75 min $135
During a distance healing session I set up the table as if you are there in physical form. I make a ceremony in your honor, I place crystals on the table & I go into deep meditation. I am able to connect with your spirit to send powerful & gentle Reiki to you. At the same time or afterwards, you will relax in meditation & receive the energy. It will come to you in whatever way is most beneficial for your journey. We will talk on the phone before & after the session.
Kahi Loa – Elemental Healing: 90 min $180 / 120 min $240
This is a transformative journey of invoking Spirit Guides & the Elements. Kahi Loa (Infinite Oneness) is a Hawaiian Shamanic Lomi practice which includes chanting to call in the Spirits of nature, guided visualization & hands on healing touch (fully clothed). Within this safe space of prayerful focus & deep breathing, stagnant emotions & buried tension rise to be released. Energetic clearing occurs as Guides & Ancestors bring visions, peace & strength to body, mind & Spirit. Reiki & Sound Healing are included.
Individual Breathwork Journey: 90 min $180 / 120 min $240
In this session you will choose an intention & breathe it into reality, while being supported with ceremony, sound healing & gentle bodywork (while fully clothed). This style of Breathwork comes from the Hawaiian elders & uses the ‘Lomi Ha’ breath technique. This practice can be very effective at healing from trauma, clearing out old patterns & bringing your life into alignment with your soul purpose. Helps to expand lung capacity while invigorating the entire body & energy field. Your breath is the medicine.
